Dear Sam,
It appears that I've hit a nerve. Unless I'm mistaken, all I did
was originally opine that you are somewhat cavalier in your broad brush
assesment of Americans. I disagreed then, and I disagree now that
Americans are, as a whole, uneducated and glad of it. You seem to think
that I've accused you of treason when all I can do, in good conscious, is
accuse you of an opinion that I disagree with.
In response to this I am inundated with crass insults and a
pointless cyber-tantrum to rival anything I've seen from my two year old
son. Does the mere fact that I dissent from your opinion make me as you
say a "harrumphing, goose-stepping village dickhead"? Does defending my
fellow countrymen against unwarranted attacks make me a right wing fanatic?
I am amused Sam. You speak of freedom of speech, yet you come
unglued when someone who disagrees with your own point of view exercises
it. That sees to me to be the real right wing viewpoint. (Read dangerous.)
Heaven forbit that someone like me should respond to your publicly posted
opinion with anything other then wholesale adoration.
